- I'm using AWeb 1.0a on an A4000/40 with networking via AmiTCP 4.x
- (registered). My Internet connection is via a 14400 bps modem.
- AWeb is (generously) configured to run on its own 64-colour screen.
-
- After (quite) some time on the net, browsing back and forth, and
- especially while there are simultaneous image loads, Aweb will simple
- wedge solid. No more packets go out, even though pings to the sites its
- talking to work, and netstat still reports the connection as open.
-
- Very aggravating when you're doing parallel ftp downloads off Aminet's
- recent list. :-(
-
- In the same session, I sometime get "illegal color conversion" errors
- as well as some images which will not display with the datatypes which
- I have. Unfortunately, I cannot as yet isolate a particular web page
- which causes the hiccup, though I've visited some with nasty netscape
- stuff with apparently no ill effects.
-
- Although I'm not sure I could ever go back to AMosaic after AWeb.
- It never happened with AMosaic though... well, not much happened
- with AMosaic to start :-)
-
- Any ideas as to how I can isolate the problem?
